Serviam by Wright LLP Elevates Two Attorneys to Partner

Serviam by Wright LLP congratulates Valerie Escalante Troesh and Rene Farjeat on their promotion to our team of partners, effective August 1.
“Both Valerie and Rene have become essential assets to our firm and clients because of their commitment, dedication and passion for public law,” said Founding Partner Curtis Wright. “They have already proven themselves as leaders in their respective practices and I’m eager to see them use their talents in a partnership role. We are positive they will continue to bring their skills and creativity to our clients.”
Valerie represents public agencies in all aspects of code enforcement to aid in our clients’ goals of protecting and bettering their communities.
Her work stems across advising our clients on municipal codes for compliance with legal requirements of State legislative mandates and constitutional due process; governmental obligations and liabilities under Federal, State, and local laws; administrative proceedings; and more.
She also works hand-in-hand with our clients to affirmatively remediate blighted and/or drug and criminally plagued properties through her management of Health & Safety Code, Business & Professions Code, and Code of Civil Procedure receivership and nuisance abatement litigation. Escalante Troesh also works to protect the integrity of our clients’ governmental actions through defending our public agency clients in administrative appeal hearings, writs of mandamus, as well as Federal and State litigation.
“Being elevated to partner is an exciting step in my career and for my practice,” Valerie said. “I am honored to be the firm’s first female partner and eager to continue my efforts serving and protecting communities in this new capacity.”
Rene’s practice includes code enforcement receiverships, police services, land use, zoning and planning, municipal law and litigation, nuisance and graffiti abatement, administrative law, business law and litigation, constitutional law and tort defense. Rene also successfully litigates numerous trials, motions for summary judgment, discovery motions, and a vast variety of other civil litigation motions and proceedings throughout California.
Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Rene served as the lead attorney in several Civil Litigation departments at a prominent Orange County Commercial Litigation firm.
“The work we do at Serviam by Wright is increasingly important as cities struggle with fiscal limitations because of the pandemic,” Rene said. “Moving forward with the firm as a partner, I look forward to continuing to fight for cities, communities and their residents across California.”
