Curtis Wright’s Sessions: Sidewalks, Encampments, and the Law in Action
Serviam Managing Partner Curtis Wright was honored to present two sessions this year:
- Tuesday, October 28—Sidewalk Vending Enforcement
Exploring the evolving landscape of SB 946 and SB 635, Curtis shared practical strategies for balancing vendor compliance, public safety, and constitutional requirements. - Wednesday, October 29—Homeless Encampment Enforcement
This session tackled one of California’s most complex challenges—ensuring compassionate, lawful enforcement practices that align with current case law and protect both community standards and individual rights.
Both discussions sparked thoughtful dialogue among attendees, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between code enforcement professionals and municipal counsel in navigating these real-world issues.
Beyond Connecting at the Booth: Building Lasting Partnerships
We loved meeting so many of you at our booth throughout the week—exchanging ideas, swapping field stories, and sharing a few laughs along the way. The enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion within this community continue to inspire our work.
