Mayya Magay
Court Receiver & Attorney
Mayya Magay is an attorney and court receiver with experience in real estate development, receivership, and project management matters. Mayya manages and litigates court-appointed receiverships, addressing legal and operational issues related to distressed properties, regulatory compliance, property management, and coordination with stakeholders, consultants, and public agencies. Her work often involves stabilizing and overseeing complex projects under court supervision.
Mayya also has experience advising on real estate development matters, including contract drafting, construction, and project management issues. Early in her career, she handled dispute resolution matters, including arbitration proceedings involving commercial and development-related disputes.
She earned her LL.M. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, and completed coursework in Real Estate Transactions at the Paul Merage School of Business. Before pursuing law, Mayya worked in marketing and communications, bringing a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to her legal practice.
Outside of work, Mayya is passionate about music and travel, having visited more than 40 countries, and enjoys photography and exploring new cultures.
