Curtis Wright

Managing Partner

Curtis Wright is the managing partner of Serviam by Wright LLP.  Curtis specializes in assisting cities with municipal law and litigation, receiverships, nuisance abatement, civil and criminal code enforcement, police services, deadly weapon forfeitures, inspection and abatement warrants, administrative law, and Pitchess motion defense.  Curtis is an experienced city prosecutor and city attorney and represents numerous municipal agencies throughout California in administrative, criminal, and civil litigation.  In court, he has secured hundreds of criminal code enforcement convictions and obtained receivership appointments for numerous substantially dangerous and blighted nuisance properties.  Curtis has also pioneered new and efficient methods of improving code enforcement effectiveness.  Curtis has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients in judgments, liens, special assessments, cash settlements, and various other enforcement mechanisms.

Curtis has been published multiple times on various legal topics and teaches classes and leads presentations on various aspects of municipal law, receiverships, nuisance abatement, marijuana regulation, constitutional law, warrants, and group home regulation.  Curtis is active in the community and has been on the board of directors of multiple nuisance abatement organizations. Curtis earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the University of La Verne College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California (USC).  Prior to his legal career, Curtis was a decorated captain and ranger in the United States Army, where he was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
